What to do this Halloween: 5 Spooky Haunts & Jaunts in Melbourne

It's the spooky season. πŸ‘»

Unfortunately, knocking on strangers doors in costume to collect candy isn't well-received anymore. Guess it comes with age... and the fact that having a group of full-grown adults knock on your door in white sheets with eye holes is mildly terrifying and has serial killer undertones. A shame, really.

We can still send you to some spots with some seriously SpOoKy food and some adult appropriate dress up events, though. Go on, go get that costume.

Footscray | Swanston St

Ooo man. While their burgers are always scary good, 8bit is extra on board with Halloween this year. We are terrified for the well-being of our diets.

Trick or treat yo' self to their brand spanking new Ghouls N Ghosts burger πŸ‘». Double beef, double American cheese, maple glazed bacon, spiced ketchup, onion, lettuce, pumpkin hummus & a black bun. Pumpkin carving was too much effort anyway - it's still part of the Halloween festivities to eat it, right? πŸŽƒ

We hear people are dying to try it - but it's only around for a week, so get in real quick.

Doctor Q Escape Rooms

South Yarra

Ever wanted to race against time to escape an abandoned lab whilst fending off real life zombies? No?

With four different escape room experiences Dr. Q's is the perfect place to spend this Halloween. Our pick? Biohazard. Set in an abandoned lab, this post-apocalyptic style experience features real zombie NPC's for extra oomph. Escape, or become one of them. 🧟

We're sure you'll have fun. If you're into being locked in a room with zombies, that is.

Bosozoku HQ

South Yarra

Our friends at Bosozoku HQ took it upon themselves to go ahead and create a Jabba the Hutt Burger - and honestly, the likeness is pretty impressive. Wagyu beef, chicken, bacon, double cheese, pickles and a 'deceivingly maniacal wasabi sauce.' Now don't that sound appealing. 🐸

It's the frog/slug lookin' burger we never knew we needed; yet now, suddenly do. (You weak minded fool! He’s using an old Jedi mind trick.)
